Product Benefits
- Long-lasting colour: high-quality micropigments penetrate deep into the hair fibre for excellent grey coverage and colour that resists fading.
- Light-reflecting results: rich, multi-faceted colour with an incredible light reflection.
- Argan oil and Marigold extract: a soft, easy-to-apply cream enriched with moisturising Argan oil and Marigold extract.
- Coverage for resistant grey: the Intense Naturals (.00) carry more pigment for 100% coverage on resistant hair.
- Built to intermix: colours mix easily for unlimited combinations, and Neutral 10.00 softens the intensity of any shade.
How will 3deluxe Color look on your client's hair?
With no lift, a shade deposits at its own depth on lighter hair and at the depth of the hair underneath on darker hair. The lighter the starting base, the more vibrant the tone: on a level 10 it shows at full strength. The same shade on four natural bases:
Results vary with hair condition and previous colour.
How to Use
- Skin test 48 hours before every colour service, using the colour and developer at the ratio you plan to use.
- Mix 50 ml of colour with 75 ml of 3deluxe Cream Developer (1:1.5). Over 50% grey, use half the chosen shade and half the Natural of the same depth.
- Choose the developer for the result: 10 vol (3%) for same depth or darker, 20 vol (6%) for grey coverage and up to 2 levels of lift, 30 vol (9%) for up to 3 levels, 40 vol (12%) for 4 to 5 levels.
- Apply roots to ends straight away for the same depth or darker. To lighten, apply to lengths and ends first, 2 cm from the scalp, for 20 minutes, then apply to the roots. For regrowth, apply to the roots for 20–30 minutes, then take the rest through the lengths for 10–15 minutes.
- Develop for 30–40 minutes, or 45 minutes for 100% grey coverage. With heat, check after 25 minutes.
- Rinse: emulsify well, rinse thoroughly and follow with 3deluxe Color Shampoo.
Salon tip: for a true in-between level, mix 1/4 of the darker shade with 3/4 of the lighter one, e.g. 1/4 6.3 + 3/4 8.3 for a 7.3.

3deluxe questions from the salon floor
How do 3deluxe shade numbers work?
The first number is the depth, from 1 (black) to 10 (platinum blonde), and the numbers after the point are the main tone then the secondary tone, so 6.35 is a level 6 with a gold main tone and a mahogany secondary tone.
Is there a 3deluxe colour chart?
Yes, the physical 3deluxe Color Chart shows all 118 shades.
What developer do I mix 3deluxe Color with?
Mix 50 ml of colour with 75 ml of 3deluxe Cream Developer (1:1.5), choosing 10, 20, 30 or 40 vol for the result you want.
Does 3deluxe Color cover grey?
Yes, it gives 100% grey coverage: over 50% grey, mix the shade half and half with the Natural of the same depth, and use the Intense Naturals (.00) on resistant grey.
How long do I leave 3deluxe Color on?
Develop for 30–40 minutes, or 45 minutes for 100% grey coverage, checking after 25 minutes if you use heat.
How many levels does 3deluxe Color lift?
Up to 2 levels with 20 vol, up to 3 with 30 vol and 4 to 5 with 40 vol.
What is the Special Blonde 12 series?
High-lift shades mixed 1:2 with 30 or 40 vol and left for 45 minutes, for best results on a level 6 or lighter.
What does Neutral 10.00 do?
It softens the intensity of other shades and adds shine, lifting up to half a level, so adding 3 cm to a 7.0 gives a 7½.
Can I use 3deluxe Color to tone bleached hair?
Yes, mix it with Tone on Tone for porous hair or 10 vol, for example 10.1 for an ash tone or 10.02 for a pearl/soft beige.
