How will Life Color Plus look on your client's hair?
With no lift, a shade deposits at its own depth on lighter hair and at the depth of the hair underneath on darker hair. The lighter the starting base, the more vibrant the tone: on a level 10 it shows at full strength. The same shade on four natural bases:

How to Use
- Skin test 48 hours before every application, following the allergy alert test on the pack.
- Mix 50 ml of Life Color Plus with 75 ml of Life Cream Developer at 20, 30 or 40 vol in a plastic bowl, and wear suitable gloves.
- Apply from roots to ends for the same depth or darker. To lighten, apply to the lengths and ends first, 2 cm away from the scalp, for 20 minutes, then apply to the roots. For a regrowth, apply to the regrowth for 20–30 minutes, then take the rest through the lengths and ends for 10–15 minutes.
- Develop for 30–40 minutes, or 45 minutes for 100% grey coverage. If you use heat, check after 25 minutes.
- Rinse after emulsifying the colour well, then shampoo with Amethyste Chroma Color Protective Shampoo.
Salon tip: for an in-between level, mix 1/4 of the darker shade with 3/4 of the lighter one. Equal parts of a 5 and a 7 won't give a true 6.

How do you use Life Color Plus?
Mix 50 ml with 75 ml of Life Cream Developer at 20, 30 or 40 vol, apply, leave for 30–40 minutes (45 for full grey coverage), then emulsify, rinse and shampoo.
What is the Life Color Plus mixing ratio?
The standard ratio is 1:1.5 (50 ml colour to 75 ml developer), 1:1 for a stronger colour, and 1:2 with 40 vol for the superlighteners.
Which developer should I use with Life Color Plus?
Use Life Cream Developer: 20 vol to cover grey and lift up to 2 levels, 30 vol to lift up to 3 levels or for resistant hair, and 40 vol to lift up to 4 levels.
Does Life Color Plus cover grey hair?
Yes, it gives 100% grey coverage: over 50% grey, mix half your chosen shade with half the Natural of the same depth and allow 45 minutes.
How long do you leave Life Color Plus on?

The number before the point is the depth, from 1 (black) to 10 (platinum blonde), and the figures after it are the primary and secondary tones, such as .1 ash, .2 violet, .3 gold, .4 copper, .5 mahogany and .6 red.
What are the Life Color Plus superlighteners?
The 902 and the 12 series lift more than the other shades, give their best results from level 6 or lighter, and are mixed 1:2 with 40 vol for 45 minutes.
What is 10.00 used for?
The 10.00 neutral dilutes the intensity of other shades and can lift up to half a level on its own.
What do the Life Color Plus boosters do?
The 0.66 red, 0.44 orange and 0.22 violet boosters are mixed with Life Color Plus shades to make red, copper and violet tones more intense.
