Delivery costs

Delivery prices depend on your delivery address and order value, as set out below. Free delivery over £100 (ex VAT) to mainland UK is provided via DHL; Parcelforce is also available at the rates shown.

Some areas of the UK carry an additional carrier surcharge that we have to pass on. Free delivery to these areas applies on orders over £250 (ex VAT) via DHL.

Single-item orders

Orders containing a single item are sent in a tracked courier bag from £2.99, Monday to Friday.

Bulky & large-volume items

Larger items (such as 10-litre liquids) need special handling — the available delivery options for these are shown at checkout, so the standard rates above may not apply.

Delivery times

  • Next working day: available on orders placed before 1:00 PM, Monday–Friday. Orders placed after 1:00 PM are processed the next working day; orders placed after 1:00 PM on Friday are dispatched on Monday.
  • Delivery is Monday to Friday — please make sure someone is available to receive the parcel.
  • During busier periods, delivery can take 3–5 working days; if so, the courier will notify you.
  • This service is not guaranteed and excludes unforeseen delays, promotional days (e.g. "VAT Free"), single-item shipping, and Bank Holidays.
  • Occasionally, we may need to change the courier to make sure your order arrives on time.

International delivery

International delivery is currently unavailable.

Tracking your order

You can track your parcel with the courier using the tracking number in your dispatch email. Please include a valid mobile number when ordering so you receive delivery notifications.

Damaged on arrival

If your order arrives with visible damage to the packaging, please either sign for it as damaged (so we can make a claim) or refuse the delivery and ask for it to be returned to us. We'll inspect the damage and send out a replacement.

Sharp & age-restricted items

Sharp items such as scissors and razor blades require an adult with valid ID to be present to accept delivery, to comply with section 141A of the Criminal Justice Act 1988. These products can only be delivered by Parcelforce, and there are some postal areas the Parcelforce age-verification service is unable to deliver to. If you have any trouble getting sharp items delivered, please contact us and we'll talk you through the best options.

Order information

  • Please leave a suitable contact method — if we can't get in touch, any complications may delay your delivery.
  • If an item is out of stock, a refund may be issued instead.

The Supplier shall have no liability for any failure to deliver the Goods to the extent that such failure is caused by: (1) a Force Majeure event; (2) the Customer's failure to provide adequate delivery instructions; or (3) a third-party carrier service (for example, freight or aircraft delivery companies for international deliveries overseas).

Returns

We operate a free 60-day return service. You can return items for up to 60 days after receiving your original order if you change your mind. Any order discrepancies or missing items must be reported within 48 hours of receiving the order.

All goods are inspected upon return. In the unlikely event that an item is not suitable for resale, it may be sent back to you. Please make sure return parcels are packaged securely — return parcels are the responsibility of the customer until received and accepted by Hairdressing Supplies Lincoln. We advise taking photographic evidence in case of courier damage.

Electrical goods

We do not accept returns of electrical goods where the packaging has been opened and the item removed, unless the product is deemed faulty.

For faulty items returned within the 60-day window, Hairdressing Supplies Lincoln will inspect the item and determine whether it can be repaired or replaced. If we're unable to repair or replace it, a full refund will be issued. This process may take up to 14 working days. At times, we may need to send the item to the manufacturer for inspection and repair or replacement, in which case we may have to wait for the manufacturer to complete their inspection.

Hygiene, scissors & similar items

Due to strict hygiene regulations, Hairdressing Supplies cannot accept returns of items such as scissors, clippers, razors, manicure or pedicure implements, or tweezers once they have been used.

Surcharged postcodes

Some areas of the UK come with additional shipping costs to us, and unfortunately, we have no choice but to pass these on to customers shipping to those addresses. We're also unable to ship sharp items (including scissors and bladed items) to some postcodes due to courier restrictions. If you have any issues shipping sharp items, please contact us and we'll go through the best steps to get your items delivered.
